Welcome to Art Hall

Vision: To enrich our community through fantastic art & kindness

Our Mission:

To develop confident, thoughtful artists through wonder-filled experiences and dynamic instruction.

We believe all humans are born to create; we have the privilege of helping them remember how.

Our Story

Art Hall is just beginning, but our story is years in the making.

Art Hall was founded in 2026 by Duluth-based artist Julie Ann McKevitt. Julie has been creating arts programming for youth and families for more than 12 years and is thrilled to bring both visual and performing arts classes and events to families across Gwinnett.

This past June, Art Hall launched its first summer camp at Coleman Middle School. Now, Julie and her husband, Aaron, have found a permanent home for Art Hall in Duluth, GA, and are working to open the doors in the coming months.

Before Art Hall, Julie was the founder and executive director of Paint Love. In 2014, after seeing a great need for meaningful artistic outlets for young people, Julie, along with Aaron and a strong community of supporters, launched the organization. Paint Love brings extraordinary arts programming to youth facing poverty and trauma and has grown into one of Atlanta’s most sought-after nonprofit arts programs for young people.

Julie continues to champion the work of Paint Love and, as any true artist, keeps a steady stream of creative side projects going. She paints in her home studio, serves on the Duluth Public Arts Commission, uses her dance minor to lead group fitness classes, and can occasionally be spotted doing theatre choreography.

*A note on our logo: while we are working to finalize our logo with a designer, Julie and Aaron’s two daughters have kindly created a few placeholder designs of their own. :)
